Services

Overnight Guests
The college has several guest rooms which can be booked from the Lodge (see above).

Portable beds with bedding may be hired for £12.65 per night, or without bedding at a cost of £5.06 per night.

In Holywell Manor, one overnight guest per room may be allowed for a total of 21 nights in one academic year. Any more nights will be charged and fines will be imposed. The College is bound by security and safety laws and rooms are for single occupancy.

Room Cleaning
The Housekeepers (Scouts) empty your waste bin every day and clean your room thoroughly once a week. They are not responsible for making beds, cleaning dishes or kitchen utensils. A notice informing residents of the Housekeepers' daily cleaning rota is displayed on each corridor of every wing within the Manor. You should note which day your room is scheduled to be cleaned and ensure that the Housekeeper is able to access the room.

If you need your bin emptied then the convention is to leave it outside the door and it will get changed.

Please inform the the Head Housekeeper if you have any problems concerning housekeeping.

Maintenance
Maintenance or repair work required should be reported to a member of the maintenance team at Holywell Manor. Forms for this purpose may be completed at the Lodge.

Storage
We regret that storage space is limited at Holywell Manor and therefore only returning graduates who have a designated room for the following academic year may put items into storage. Items placed in storage must be contained in secure boxes and clearly labelled with your full name, the date you depart, the date you are returning and the room to which you are returning. Trunks may only be stored in the Dellal Building luggage store. You will be asked to sign your items in and out of store at the Lodge.

Telephones
Each room has its own telephone. Dial 9 to get an outside line, 00 to get your answering machine. To call the telephone from outside the university one should dial 018652 followed by the internal number of the telephone if the caller is in the U.K. or +441865 otherwise.

Line rental of £2 a week is charged, and outgoing calls are made as for a normal phone and are charged. Line rental and call cost will appear on your battels. It is possible to order an itemised print-out of charges through the Bursary.
