DVD Library

The DVD Library is designed to make it easier and cheaper for MCR members to watch movies and TV series. Members of the MCR can borrow DVDs to watch in a public space (TV room, Dellal common room, the Cockpit), your own room or—if you live out—your home. The Library is held at the Porter’s Lodge

If you want to borrow a DVD, ask the porter that will record your borrowing in a folder. That way, if someone else wants a DVD that you’ve borrowed, he or she knows whom to ask (and also, if you completely forget you’ve borrowed a DVD, we can politely “remind” you).

If a DVD fails to play or appears damaged, let us know. We have established an ongoing budget to build our collection, so if you have any suggestions let us know.

Rowing is the great Oxford sport and Balliol has a great recent track record with the Women currently Head of the River. If you like the idea of brandishing an oar, this could be for you.
